On successful completion of this unit, students willA. Be able to
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the unit student should be able to:
1. Communicate to their peers their orally and in written form their research proposal and ethics protocol Related to the human subject research to be undertaken in their research
2. Write their research proposal and ethics protocols in a form that conforms to doctoral standards for presentation to the Research and Research Studies Committee and the ACTh Human Research Ethics Committee
3. Reflect at an Advanced level on the integration of the knowledge and skills acquired through this unit with their personal and professional development as it applies to their specific ministry context.
Content
Purpose: To prepare the final research proposal and related ethics protocols for submission to the Research and Research Studies Committee and ACTh Human Research Ethics Committee.
Aims: To provide candidates with additional exposure to approaches to writing up research proposals and ethics protocols. To provide opportunity for candidates to critique ethics protocols. To provide candidates with an opportunity to orally present their research proposal and ethics protocol to their peers.
