Content
- Biblical and theological critique of the phenomenon of globalisation, its causes and its consequences, particularly its consequences for contemporary understandings and practices of Christian leadership.
- Biblical and theological reflection and critique of service, ministry, leadership, appointment, preparation, gifting, and the notion of apostolic function and authority.
- Identifying and evaluating the multiple leadership styles (western, Confucian, tribal, and indigenous) encountered in globalised contexts, and the complexities each of these adds to the selection, training, credibility, authority, age and tenure of Christian leaders in globalised and missional contexts.
- A critical understanding of the impact that leadership in globalised contexts has upon, for example, the related Christian practices of discipleship, mentoring, apprenticeship, schooling, education, and service.
- Identifying and developing an appropriately self-critical, theologically-informed, culturally sensitive, personal and organisational leadership style for ministry and mission in a globalised context.
