Learning outcomes

On successful completion of this unit, students will

A. Know and understand

1. Demonstrate Advanced knowledge and understanding of, and the research underlying, of a CH topic not otherwise covered in the students’ course

B. Be able to

1. Examine recent scholarship in its bearing on a CH topic not otherwise covered in the students’ course

2. Demonstrate skill in utilising diverse scholarship in a CH topic not otherwise covered in the students’ course

3. Present Research-Aware evidence-based perspectives on a CH topic not otherwise covered in the students’ course

C. Be in a position to

1. Applying Advanced perspectives and skills from a CH topic not otherwise covered in the students’ course to ministry practice and Christian living as a reflective practitioner

Content

A selected topic / theme/ figure in the history of Christianity.

The choice of the topic, theme or figure to be studied is left to approved institutions but they must have staff and library resources sufficient to sustain the unit. 

The affiliated college is to submit a proposed unit outline along with assessment plans for approval by the moderator for Christianity in History
