- The literary context, content, structure and genre(s) of 1 and 2 Kings.
2. Issues in the interpretation of 1 and 2 Kings.
- Theories about the structure and composition of 1 and 2 Kings. Key themes within 1 and 2 Kings.
3. Exegesis
- Exegesis of a selection of chapters from 1 and 2 Kings.
4. Preaching
- Moving from exegesis to sermon composition.
