Exclusions
Prior to 2020, this unit content was delivered under the unit code EM645.
Content
This unit is available to candidates who spend a period of time in one or more of the lands associated with the biblical documents, or a context relevant to the unit content. The criteria for eligibility for credit for the unit shall be:
- A minimum of 80 hours work, including lectures, field trips and/or an archaeological dig and/or field work, in an integrated programme conducted by a person or teaching body endorsed by the candidate’s approved institution.
- Assessment should include a substantial project relating a significant section to the land(s) visited by the candidate.
- The project could include a daily journal as part of the documentary evidence for it.
Affiliated colleges, with the approval of unit field moderators, will be able to utilise the study unit codes and apply the content and learning outcomes of existing approved ACT units, in order that the higher tuition fee might be available, to facilitate necessary travel for the unit.
Study Tour Limits
Since the transport, accommodation and food costs for students are levied to students as incidental fees, and only the payment for tuition-related activities can be deferred on a student’s FEE-HELP loan, there is currently no limit to the number of study tours that students are permitted to take.
