Content
- Biblical perspectives: the nations in the Old Testament, the alien and the foreigner, centripetal and centrifugal mission, ministry and teaching of Jesus, early church practice, relevant aspects of the theology of the church.
- Historical perspectives: from mission bands to monasteries, from religious orders to mission agencies.
- Modern issues: internationalisation of the mission movement, theological challenges, resurgent religions, mega-churches, globalisation, terrorism, displaced peoples, conciliar and Catholic approaches.
- Local church: worship and mission worship and mission in the local environment, local and global balance, cultural awareness, potential roles, development of educational programs and materials, resources and ideas available, planning for involvement.
