Content

The content of the course will include the following:

  • Background to the Hadith – why they are necessary
  • Scholarship surrounding the Hadith
  • Collections of the hadith
  • Problems with the Hadith including the Qur’an-only movement
  • Sharia and The Hadith
  • Allah in the Hadith compared with God in the Bible
  • Muhammad in the Hadith compared with prophets in the Bible
  • Jesus in the Hadith compared with Jesus in the Bible
  • Women in the Hadith compared with women in the Bible
  • War, violence & peace in the Hadith compared with these topics in the Bible
  • Science in the Hadith
  • Politics and Human Rights compared with these topics in the Bible
  • Using the Hadith in Christian ministry
