Applying Advanced perspectives and skills from ‘Effective Christian Education in Cross Cultural Contexts’ to ministry practice and Christian living as a reflective practitioner
Content
- A survey of classical and recent pedagogical theories
- Incorporating Theological frameworks pertinent to education; theological anthropology, sin and sanctification; the correlation between Christian views of the self and the presuppositions of educational theorists
- Cultural variants within an educational experience; thinking processes, and the impact of the context, the worldview and values upon cognitive styles as they affect learning
- Development of culturally appropriate, biblically-based curriculum on the basis of needs assessments
- Evaluation of curriculum impact upon the learner
- Assessing wider social ramifications of education; issues of inclusivity, resistance and readiness
