4. Present Critical evidence-based perspectives on the gospel, church and Australian culture

1. Applying perspectives and skills from ‘Gospel, Church and Australian Culture’ to contemporary Christian life and ministry practice as a reflective practitioner
Content
- Culture: The nature of culture, significance of symbols, myths and rituals, tools for interpreting culture.
- Gospel: The nature of the gospel; the principles, process and limitations of contextualisation.
- Church: Analysis of contemporary ecclesiology as they relate to mission; principles of a missional ecclesiology.
- Australian Culture: Application of the forgoing analysis on at least three cultures/sub-cultures in Australia, such as urban, suburban, welfare, rural, Generation-Y.
