Content
- Key definitions (migration, immigration, diaspora, refugee, asylum seeker etc), theories and concepts relating to migration and diaspora
- Theologies of migration
- Introduce factors affecting migration and its impact on a variety of peoples
- History of migration (local and global perspectives)
- Migration, ethnic diversity and identity
- The role of religion and religious institutions in diaspora experiences
- Second and third generations involvement in diaspora religious communities
- Various case studies of diaspora communities
- Migration, ministry and mission: exploring challenges and opportunities with a view to missional engagement
