AUSTRALIAN CAPITAL TERRITORY
St Marks Theological Library (Anglican) Canberra
Public membership for $70 annually. They have unlimited loans however they are unable to access eResources.
NEW SOUTH WALES
Alphacrucis Library (Australian Christian Churches) Sydney
Public: $75 full year, $40 half year Access to online resources is limited to open access resources only. AC Alumni, Ministers, Pastors and Chaplains: free. Students and concession card holders: $50 full year, $30 half year.
Australian College of Christian Studies (Brethren): Emmaus Library Sydney
Graduates and friends of ACCS are welcome to make use of the collection and its resources after registering with the ACCS librarian. firstname.lastname@example.org.
It has a specialist collection in Plymouth Brethren History and Plymouth Brethren Missionary Activities. The Library has over 15,000 holdings and is available to all Sydney College of Divinity students and staff, and its registered library members. The Library has reciprocal borrowing arrangements with all the Sydney College of Divinity teaching colleges, Avondale Seventh Day Adventist Bible College, and Perth Bible College.
Catholic Institute of Sydney Veech Library
The following categories of people may borrow from the Veech Library:
- All full-time and part-time CIS students, staff and faculty
- Students from other SCD institutions, (whether or not undertaking subjects at CIS)
- Teaching staff from other SCD institutions
- Catholic clergy and religious
- Students and faculty according to other Institutional Agreements
- Past students of the Catholic Institute (a fee applies)
Other interested persons (living within the Sydney metropolitan area) may apply to become a Subscription Borrower on payment of an annual fee of $75.00.
Special collections –Thomas Aquina, Australian Documentation Centre, the Australiana Collection, Dissertations, the Hibernica Collection (Irish history and literature), pre 1960s liturgical books, the Church Music Collection, rare and older books (including over 4,000 books published before 1800.
Christ College Library (Presbyterian) Sydney
Christ College allows access and free browsing on-site for the general public. If someone wants to borrow we price 1 year of membership at $100, but also factor in time and usage to suit the user’s needs – i.e. only using the physical collection is $50 (and the same for online collection only), or only 6 months is $50. Christ College alumni and Presbyterian NSW ministers get access at $30/year and we also offer similar changes as above.
Korean School of Theology (Sydney, also Melbourne and Brisbane campuses)
The Korean School of Theology Library has 5,000 monographs and 25 periodicals with majority of its holdings in the Korean language. The library has a strong collection in the areas of Christian doctrine, pastoral theology and Church history. A growing collection of Korean-language resources are being added continuously to meet the growing needs of the students and faculty. Korean resources are also available at its Brisbane and Melbourne campuses.
Mary Andrews College (Anglican) Sydney
The physical collection consists of around 10,000 items including books, journals, CDs and DVDs. No information given on external membership.
Moore College – Donald Robinson Library (Anglican – also includes Youthworks)
Alumni (graduate) membership is available to graduates of any Moore College course, and all ordained Anglican clergy working in the Diocese of Sydney. Free. Borrow items, access to ATLA, wifi in library.
External Library Members pay $100 per year and, in addition to the privileges granted to Visitors, may borrow up to 20 print items for one week with two renewals (renewals may be made remotely on the Library catalogue, but at the end of three weeks the items must be returned before further extending the loans). Remote access to resources (databases, ProQuest ebooks, journals) and document delivery (Inter-Library loans) are not available to Library Members.
Some 100,000 volumes are located on open access in the Library at 1 King St, Newtown while the remaining print volumes are located in an offsite location.
Morling College (Baptist) – Gilbert Wright Library Sydney (also Perth)
Graduates, accredited Baptist Pastors and interested members of the public may apply for a membership. Alumni, 3 years free after graduation. Otherwise, 60 for half a year and 110 for a full year.
- Accredited Baptist Pastors / Missionaries get free membership
- Baptist employees / Healthcare / Pension card holders get a 50% discount off the full fee of $110/year.
- If someone doesn’t fit into any of these categories, they will have to pay the full fee of $110/year or $60 for 6 months.
All community borrowers can gain access to certain databases, 10 items for 2 weeks from the General/Main collection and 1 week if the item is from the High Demand collection.
Nisibis Assyrian Theological College Library Sydney
No information on external membership.
NSW College of Clinical Pastoral Education – Milton Coleman Pastoral Care Library
Milton Coleman Pastoral Care Library is a small single discipline digital library with more than 1,000 volumes in the area of practical theology. It covers the history of Clinical Pastoral Education, chaplaincy, the various aspects of pastoral care and pastoral supervision. Its special collection is in the area of the History of Clinical Pastoral Education.
The Milton Coleman Pastoral Care Library exists to provide pastoral care resources to Clinical Pastoral Education students, members of NSW College of Clinical Pastoral Education and to assist in the training and research needs of pastoral supervisors and educators.
St Andrews Greek Orthodox Theological College Library Sydney
The collection currently consists of over 16,000 monographs and 200 periodicals available in English and Greek with specialisation in (Greek) Patristic texts, Eastern Orthodox doctrine and spirituality, and Byzantine Music transcripts.
Membership is free for SCD staff and students, SAGOTC alumni (Sydney only) & Archdiocese clergy (Sydney only). General public residing in Sydney pay $50 p.a.
St Cyrils Coptic Orthodox College Library Sydney
Membership is free for other SCD students.
Sydney Missionary and Bible College – Kerr Library Sydney
SMBC welcomes members of the public to come and visit the library and use the print resources here. There are a small number of electronic resources that they can access on-site (only the rare few that use IP authentication). Ebooks and databases aren’t available to visitors. Our alumni can request access to ATLASerials Religion Collection. We don’t currently offer associate membership for borrowing.
Uniting Theological College – Camden Theological Library Sydney
Currently, people not associated with Uniting Theological College, or the Uniting Church may borrow certain monographs free of charge. If they wish to have material posted, they need to carry the cost of the postage. Only people associated with Uniting Theological College, or the Uniting Church may have access to digital material.
Vianney College (Catholic)– St Ann’s Library Wagga Wagga
Annual fee is $10. The library is open 1:30-5:30 Monday, Wednesday and Fridays. It is a spacious environment with internet access.
Booth College of Mission (Salvation Army), Wellington
People associated with The Salvation Army New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga and Samoa Territory can join for free for as long as they are employed/attending Corps etc. with reference from their manager/Corps leader. Laidlaw College students can join for free for as long as they are studying through Laidlaw College. All other community members can join for a one-off joining fee of $50 NZD, with a suitable referee.
Carey College (Baptist) – James Ayson Clifford Library Auckland

St Columba College (Catholic), Colin Library Auckland
Membership free with no bond. It is for those listed in the NZ Catholic Directory or at the discretion of the librarian. The Library has strengths in Catholic theology, canon law, spirituality, philosophy and Biblical studies. The Library has around 60,000 print volumes, 10,000 ebooks, and 850 ejournals.
Brisbane School of Theology – W. J. Tunley Memorial Library
Alumni can borrow for free or access electronic resources as well for a one-off fee of $10. Casual Membership: borrowing and electronic resources for $50 per year.
Christian Heritage College (Christian Outreach Centre) Library Brisbane
Alumni: free membership, physical item borrowing but no online resources. Public membership: $60 PA, physical item borrowing but no online resources.
Malyon Theological College Library (Baptist) Brisbane
External Borrower borrowing privileges available for a cost of $50 per semester. This allows them 6 books for 2 weeks, renewable. All pastors and on-site employees of Queensland Baptist are not charged to borrow books. All HDR Students from other ACT colleges are eligible to borrow on application. Alumni can continue borrowing on application.
As they have many individually purchased EBSCO eBooks, they have set up a User ID for access to those alone for any non-student borrowers.
Nazarene Theological College – John D Fulton Library
Lending services are available for those who are:
SCD faculty and students – A letter of indemnity will be requested from your home institution.
Associate Members – A current student ID card is required from your home institution, and a completed application form (available from the library office). A fee of $50 per semester applies
Queensland Theological College (Presbyterian) – Gibson-Radcliffe Library Brisbane
A person who is not enrolled as a student may also join the QTC Library as a member, which gives them borrowing rights of up to 8 items at one time. The cost is $60 for one year of membership, $180 for 3 years of membership and $250 for 5 years.
St Francis College – Roscoe Library (Anglican) Brisbane
Membership is free for those who are connected with the Anglican Church Southern Queensland (via a parish or work commitment) or who are currently enrolled at the University of Divinity. Others pay an annual fee of $75.
Trinity College Queensland Library (Uniting) Brisbane
Free membership for: Uniting Church members, Queensland Synod, Raymont Residential College students, St Francis Theological College members. Others pay annual membership fee.
Australian Lutheran College Adelaide
In addition to students and staff, the following may apply for free membership:
- pastors, lay workers, staff of congregations and schools of the Lutheran Church of Australia
- reciprocal borrowers from Australian Catholic University (ACU) libraries, University of Divinity (UD) libraries, Tabor Adelaide library (postgraduate students only)

St Barnabas College (Anglican) Adelaide
They have almost 31,000 books in the collection with more to be added.
Free membership is available to:
- SBC academic and operational staff.
- SBC students enrolled in a CSU program.
- SBC Alumni, PEP students, SA Anglican Clergy, Church Office staff, SBC Council members and active members of the Anglican Church of the Province of South Australia.
- Students and staff of University of Divinity partner colleges. Before borrowing please ensure that you visit the library with your University of Divinity student card.
- An annual fee of $50 applies to other community borrowers such as students from other universities/colleges.
Tabor College Library Adelaide
Tabor staff and students can borrow, reserve, and renew physical items by logging onto Tabor Online using their credentials
Tabor Alumni can apply for gratis membership at the library’s customer service desk or by emailing staff at email@example.com. Access is restricted to the library’s physical items due to eresource licence provisions.
Community Members are welcome to join the library by applying at the library’s customer service desk or by emailing staff at firstname.lastname@example.org. Membership is $50/year, however Australian Lutheran College staff, Ministers of the SA Baptist Union and members of the Youth Affairs Council of SA are eligible for gratis membership. Uniting College – The Adelaide Theological Library

This entitles patrons to borrow books and view online resources in the Library.
Catholic Education Tasmania – Father John Wall Community Library Hobart
Membership is completely free for all patrons. The only restrictions on membership are that patrons must be 18+ and a Tasmanian resident.
Catholic Theological College – Mannix Library Melbourne
All members of the University of Divinity community are eligible to borrow from all its associated libraries. Visitors to Mannix Library also have “walk-in-access” to the online resources of the University of Divinity Library Hub while they are onsite.
There is a paid membership option that allows library members to borrow. This does not include remote access to the Library Hub’s online resources. The current fee is $200 for 12 months or $110 for 6 months. They offer a 50% discount for alumni of Catholic Theological College who sign up within one year of graduating, and for staff at the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne.
Alumni of the University of Divinity have access to the Atlas PLUS for Alum database.
Dalton McCaughey Library Melbourne
The Dalton McCaughey Library is a collaboration between Pilgrim Theological College (Uniting), Jesuit College of Spirituality and Trinity College Theological School (Anglican). Clergy of the relevant regional denominations may have free membership.
Paid Membership: $60 every 6 months. Pilgrim and Trinity alumni who are not clergy may purchase a life-time membership for a once-off fee of $95.

Eva Burrows College Library Melbourne
Free membership to the Eva Burrows Library is available to:
- All students enrolled in any course of the college.
- All Salvation Army officers, employees and Salvationists.
- Community members.
Melbourne School of Theology – J.W. Searle Library
J.W. Searle Library contains over 117,000 items (incorporating, English, Chinese and Korean language resources), including: reference materials, books and audio-visual materials. In addition, it also contains over 55,000 journal issues. The library services faculty and students of Melbourne School of Theology & Eastern College Australia, as well those from the public who take out individual membership. External members cannot access electronic resources.

Presbyterian Theological College – Swanton Library Melbourne
The Swanton Library has a collection of around 37,000 items. No information on external borrowing.
Reformed Theological College Library Melbourne
External Membership is free and allows you to borrow a limited number of print items. It does not include online/electronic resources.
Ridley College (Anglican) – Leon Morris Library Melbourne
Membership for students studying theology at other colleges/universities: $66 for 6 months or $110 for 12 months (up to 5 loans at a time)

Whitley College, Geoffrey Blackburn Library (Baptist) Melbourne
While works are underway at the Parkville campus, the Whitley community can access resources from the temporary library at St. Paschal. The Library houses the Baptist Historical Collection.
Yarra Theological Union Library Melbourne
The YTU has several libraries. St Paschal Library (Franciscan OFM), Carmelite Library (OCarm), Patrick Murphy Memorial Library, Dorish Maru College(SVD), edemptorist Seminary Library and Social Justice Library (CSsR).

Perth Bible College – Urquhart Memorial Library
Perth Bible College Library holds over 22 000 books. They offer free library membership to alumni and for others it’s an annual cost of $52. This allows borrowing of up to 10 items for 1 month, renewable, and also access to some online databases.
