The Australian College of Theology (ACT), an Australian University College, has come first for quality of entire educational experience in the 2023 Student Experience Survey for institutions with over 1,000 students.
The ACT’s score for undergraduate students of 95.4 was higher than every university and exceeded the university average (76.1) by almost 20 points.
ACT has come first among institutions with over 1,000 students in every year that the survey has been conducted with undergraduate students, which is now nine years in a row.
Across all higher education providers (large and small) in 2023, ACT came fourth for undergraduate students, which equals its best ranking over the nine-year period.
Significantly, 83% of ACT students reported that their college supported their wellbeing—an outstanding result when compared to the average for higher education institutions (53%) that completed the wellbeing module of the Student Experience Survey.
“It is wonderful to see that for nine years in a row, the Australian College of Theology has been ranked first for quality of student experience among large higher education institutions,” said the Reverend Professor Roger Lewis, Chair of the ACT Board of Directors. “It is also timely to reiterate that the wellbeing of our students is a priority in each of our affiliated colleges and it is pleasing that the reported results reflect this,” he said.
In 2023 the Australian College of Theology (ACT) had approximately 2,600 students studying theology and Christian ministry, from Undergraduate Certificate to Doctoral programs, across a network of 16 Australian affiliated colleges.
