The Academic Board has reviewed all 2019 courses, and has set in place specific transition arrangements for all students enrolled in programs prior to 2020. These transition arrangements for are based on the following principles:
- ACT needs to maintain compliance with government regulations. When commencing the review process, it was noted that there may be some instances where the Academic Board imposes regulations onto a student’s course which were not in existence when the student first enrolled. After all decisions on course structures were completed, this was deemed minimal.
- Where there is any break of 12 months, or deferral or suspension of 12 months, any changes to the curriculum or regulations for an award shall apply to the candidate.
- Where major changes to an award occurs, the Academic Board may impose a time limit on the previous version of that award, after which candidates still completing that award will be subject to the new regulations, even if there has been no break during the course of their study.
- As much as it is possible, no existing student will be negatively impacted by course changes.
