Anne's farewell (June 2010)

In June 2010, the ACT said goodbye to Anne Bates after more than 16 years of faithful service. Her service as the Academic Administrator was a great asset of the ACT, and she provided invaluable service to the life of the ACT office and the college network.

In his farewell speech to Anne, the Dean said the following:

You have made a difference to the ACT in ways you might not acknowledge, but we all know that you have achieved much that has given the ACT the profile among the affiliated colleges, our peers, and the state and federal educational regulators.
As one of our number writes in his email to you: “You have been just terrific”.

Anne is pictured here at the farewell event with the Dean, Mark Harding. We wish Anne all the best for her future.

Visiting Scholar, Prof. Robert Jewett - MP3 Download (12 June 2008)

Leading Pauline scholar and author of Romans: A Commentary, Hermeneia (Philadelphia: Fortress, 2007), Prof. Robert Jewett, of the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg, Germany, gave a research seminar at the ACT on Thursday 12 June on the topic "Beyond the New Perspective". Professor Jewett spoke extensively on the purpose and theological thrust of Romans.

There were New Testament lecturers from affiliated ACT colleges and Avondale College, members of the public, ACT doctoral candidates and supervisors.

This seminar is now available for download here as an MP3 (27MB). It is a good opportunity to catch up on what has been happening in recent years in Pauline studies and the interpretation of Romans in particular.
