FEE-HELP application

This must be completed on or before the census date of your units. Instructions are available under the Students folder in Documents on this website.
Borrowing limit
For 2019, the combined HELP loan limit is $104,440.
Currently, the combined HELP loan limit is a lifetime limit and is not reset or ‘topped up’ by any repayments that you make. This means that any amount you borrow under FEE‑HELP will reduce your FEE‑HELP balance until you have reached the combined HELP loan limit.
NEW: From the 2019- 20 income year, you can top up your HELP balance by making repayments on your loan. Repayments starting from the 2019-20 income year will top up a person’s HELP balance. Any compulsory or voluntary repayments can be re-borrowed in the future, up to the current HELP loan limit. See the Study Assist website for more information.
Loan fees
There is a loan fee of 25% for FEE‑HELP loans for undergraduate courses of study only. The loan fee does not count towards your combined HELP limit.
How do I repay my FEE-HELP loan?
See the Loan repayment page on the StudyAssist website for information on repaying your loan.
Student payments
Several of ACT’s courses have been approved by the Department of Human Services for Student Payments, including Austudy, Youth Allowance, and ABSTUDY. On the course finder, each course is identified as being approved or not for student payments.
List of units
The Department of Education and Training requires that all higher education providers publish a schedule of tuition fees for all units of study that it provides or proposes to provide, on or before the earliest enrolment date for units of study, enabling students to access information about fees before they enrol. ACT publishes the tuition fees here, with the credit points, unit code, level, volume and upcoming availablility of each unit including delivery locations and dates on the Units page.
