Queensland Theological College
Teaching the Bible, Training for Service

The Queensland Theological College's (QTC) aim is to provide top class theological training that faithfully applies the Word of God to the real world.  It seeks to do this as a real living Christian community, and as part of a wider Christian fellowship in Brisbane.  QTC believes that the Bible is a thoroughly practical book, calling us to live God’s way in every area of life, in the context of Christian community and in reaching out to the wider community – all elements of its integrated curriculum and college life are designed with these principles in mind.  Word-controlled, community-focussed and totally practical: that’s the QTC ideal.  QTC is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Queensland, founded in 1876.

Presbyterian Theological College
The Presbyterian Theological College of Victoria exists to honour God and advance the kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ by training approved candidates for the ordained pastoral office, church-planting, missionary service, chaplaincy and deaconess ministry within the Presbyterian Church of Australia. It also serves the whole church by equipping other men and women for a comprehensive range of Gospel ministries and leadership in the body of Christ.

Theological education is not simply an academic pursuit. Our educational aim is to develop the intimate connection between theology, personal holiness, relational maturity, practical wisdom and ministry skills. We want to train people who know, live and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We believe that this process should emphasise the centrality and sufficiency of the Scriptures, especially in their original languages.

The courses operate on a day and evening basis over three days each week to provide students with maximum uninterrupted study-time, preparation for practical field work and recovery after week-end ministry.

The Presbyterian Theological College of Victoria was established in 1866 and is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria.
